Turf Center, Inc. is located half-way between Baltimore and Washington on Route 198 west of Burtonsville, MD. An outgrowth of Raymond Patton Landscaping, which started in the 30's as a Montgomery County landscaping business, we have grown from harvesting and installing pasture sod to the multi-operation quality conscience company of today. Still owned by Raymond's son, Emory, Turf Center's daily operations are run by Emory's daughter Diana.

Turf Center is known for being the first operation in the Washington Metropolitan area to become a major grower and marketer of Md. Certified Sod servicing Hechingers and Dart Drugs beginning in the late 60's. With this vast experience of handling retail sod, we still pride ourselves on our ability to supply our customers with a quality product in a timely manner.

In September 1995, we expanded our operation by joining the Southern States Cooperative team as a Private Dealer. This venture gives us the opportunity to expand our showroom to a full line of lawn and garden supplies to fit the needs of homeowners and professionals. Our trained and experienced staff is able to help you with advice and the latest information concerning your lawn and garden.

As a Southern States private dealer, Diana is pleased to use her years of experience and knowledge, plus her University of Maryland Agriculture Extension education, in offering top quality animal products. She is pleased to offer a full line of horse, livestock and poultry feeds along with animal health, fencing and other supplies.
